Nicole Case Hired as New Principal

The Machias School Committee and Superintendent Scott Porter are pleased to announce that Nicole Case has been hired as principal for Machias Memorial High School. Case succeeds Brian Leavitt, who will serve as the CTE director for Tri-County Technical Center in Dexter.

Case has been involved in the Machias School System since 1988. She has been a full-time faculty member since beginning her teaching career in 1993. During her tenure in education, Case has coached, taught middle grades at Rose M. Gaffney, and taught English and mathematics at Machias Memorial High School. She will begin her duties immediately.

Case resides in Whiting with her husband, Bill, and their youngest child, Webster. Her adult children, AJ and Tate Dolley, are both MMHS alumni.
