    Upcoming Events


    The Machias Bulldogs have advanced to the State Class D State Championship game!  Their opponent will be the undefeated Forest Hills Tigers from Jackman.

    The game will be held at the Augusta Civic Center on Saturday, February 29 at 2:45 pm.  Advanced tickets will be available at the high school until Friday at noon.  Please stop by the school to pick them up.

    The MMHS Cheering Team will compete in the Maine State Class D Competition this Saturday, February 8.  The competition will be held at the Augusta Civic Center.  Competition begins at 6:00 pm.

    Nicole Case Hired as New Principal

    The Machias School Committee and Superintendent Scott Porter are pleased to announce that Nicole Case has been hired as principal for Machias Memorial High School. Case succeeds Brian Leavitt, who will serve as the CTE director for Tri-County Technical Center in Dexter.

    Case has been involved in the Machias School System since 1988. She has been a full-time faculty member since beginning her teaching career in 1993. During her tenure in education, Case has coached, taught middle grades at Rose M. Gaffney, and taught English and mathematics at Machias Memorial High School. She will begin her duties immediately.

    Case resides in Whiting with her husband, Bill, and their youngest child, Webster. Her adult children, AJ and Tate Dolley, are both MMHS alumni.
